This app calculates how much a distant object is obscured by the earth’s curvature, and makes the following assumptions:

  • the earth is a convex sphere of radius 6371 kilometres (Supposedly)?
  • light travels in straight lines

Disclaimer: Why use a Sphere Calculator if you don’t believe in a Sphere? Quite simply because their own tools debunk themselves! How? By Seeing objects further away than their own calculations, tell us we shouldn’t see? This is NOT Refraction, as refraction bends light down, not up. Put a pencil in a glass of water?
